CASH Comprehensive Survivor Services Program Evaluation (2022-2023)

Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) provides trauma-informed, peer-led support to survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in Sacramento. An independent evaluation of our Comprehensive Survivor Services (CSS) programs, conducted by the Institute for Social Research at Sacramento State, highlights the significant impact of our work.

Key findings from the evaluation include:

Most participants entered the program facing critical challenges such as housing insecurity, lack of stable income, and mental health concerns.

Over 50% of participants saw improvements in safety, housing, physical health, and resource management during their time in the program.

CASH’s non-judgmental, participant-led approach was instrumental in helping survivors stay engaged and achieve their goals.

The evaluation also provides recommendations for expanding outreach, improving access to emergency services, and sustaining our high-quality, survivor-centered support.
