CASH Capital Campaign

Building a Trauma-Informed Home for Survivors

Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH), in cooperation with the Sierra Health Foundation, is launching a capital campaign to create a permanent, trauma-informed home for women and girls impacted by sexual exploitation and trafficking in Sacramento.

A transformative gift from Sierra Health Foundation to CASH of a building at 2330 Alhambra Boulevard, valued at approximately $1 million, once completed, would place a vital community asset into the hands of a survivor-led organization working every day to support healing, safety, and long-term stability.

Now, together with community partners, we are raising $1.5 million to renovate and equip the facility so it can fully serve the needs of survivors.

This new center would allow CASH to expand clinical care, extend drop-in hours, increase case management capacity, and create a safe and welcoming environment where women can access health services, housing support, counseling, and workforce development programs in one place.

A Gift That Strengthens the Community

Sierra Health Foundation’s anticipated donation of the Alhambra Boulevard building represents a powerful investment in community infrastructure and survivor support.

By transferring ownership of this property to CASH, Sierra Health Foundation would help ensure that a trusted, survivor-led organization has the space and stability needed to grow its impact for years to come.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to care, strengthening nonprofit capacity, and building long-term community resilience in Sacramento neighborhoods.

What the Capital Campaign Will Build

The renovation of the Alhambra Boulevard facility would create a comprehensive survivor services hub designed around dignity, safety, and trauma-informed care.

Campaign funds will, among other project costs, support the development of:

  • A welcoming Drop entry -In Center where women can access meals, clothing, and safe respite
  • Medical Safe Haven clinic rooms for trauma-informed healthcare and HIV testing
  • Private counseling and case management rooms
  • Teen Center for youth support and prevention programming
  • Showers, laundry, and hygiene facilities for women in crisis
  • Group rooms for peer support, diversion classes, and workforce readiness
  • Secure systems and trauma-informed design elements
  • Technology, furnishings, and equipment needed to operate the center

This expanded facility would allow CASH to serve hundreds more women each year while strengthening pathways to health, housing, employment, and long-term recovery.
