2025 Accomplishments

We served over 1,167 women and children.

At our "Drop-In" Center, over 70% of women utilize additional services like individual therapy, housing navigation, and peer-led case management.

Connected 314 women with a doctor or mental health provider.

Our partnership with Medical Safe Haven provides mental and medical health services to trafficked women. They follow trauma-informed practices and specialize in working with this population. Thanks to Medical Safe Haven and other partners, 94% of the women in CASH's comprehensive survivor services have access to primary care or therapy.

Provided 6,625 meals.

At CASH, we prioritize meeting the essential needs of women and their children by providing nutritious meals and a reliable, trustworthy space for mothers and their kids. We partnered with Kaiser to provide around 100 healthy, portable, hot meals every week and continued our partnership with the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Center to provide monthly take-home food boxes.

Provided 189 HIV tests to women through our partnerships with the CARES Foundation, One Community Health, and Harm Reduction Services.

Upon their first interaction with CASH, only 21% of women know their HIV status. We have observed that 74% of women who received 6+ mentoring sessions connect with a doctor for HIV testing. Peer mentoring is vital for building trust and stability. Our goal: 100% of CASH clients know their status.

Diverted 6 women from the criminal justice system through our RESET diversion program.

Our Diversion programs support, educate and listen to women. We work with them to reach their goals.

Assisted 185 women through our Comprehensive Services for Survivors.

100% of women who have been in the program for one year or more received quality medical care, and 50% entered a substance abuse treatment program to work on their behavioral health.

62 Women and children received supportive housing.

In collaboration with Sacramento Steps Forward, Coordinated Entry System (CES), HUD, and the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), we secured housing for the women and children we serve. Through the Coordinated Entry System for Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing, 12 families were housed, and 10 received housing vouchers.

Through our Victims of Crime Program (VOCA), 42 months of rent were paid, and 1748 bed nights were provided to women and their children.

Thanks to our VOCA grant from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), we served women and their children at risk of becoming homeless. Additionally, they received case management services, assistance obtaining identification documents, and help accessing valuable resources.

Served 50 youth.

Through our partnership with Capacity Changers and Emerge, we conducted groups and one-on-one sessions with youths, where we addressed issues like trafficking, addiction, healthy relationships, and coping skills to reduce the risk of trafficking.
